Today's I am using the Garden of Blue peg stamp set along with the Flourished Fern Border.
Inside of the package you will find three mini and two tiny peg stamps. Notice the placement line at the base of the stamps, close to the rubber. These lines indicate the position of the image.
I am also using a border stamp which is one of my favorites. It is called Flourished Fern. I had a lot of fun drawing this image.
Stamp the Flourished Fern all the way around the edge of 3 x 4 inch white card stock in Versacolor Sage.
Lightly rub Wedgewood Blue chalk around the edges with a chalk puff.
Stamp Mini Striped Flower in Versacolor Neptune. Stamp twice before reinking for a lighter shade of color with the second impression.
Stamp Mini Cross Vine in Versacolor Olive. Turn the placement line towards the flowers.
Stamp Tiny Striped Flower in Versacolor Heliotrope.
Stamp Tiny Oak Fern in Bamboo.
Stamp Mini Fairy Butterfly in Neptune.
I love to add additional colors to complement the rest of the card components. In this case, I added Versacolor Split Pea and Atlantic in the Tiny Striped Flower as shown above.
Add "You are Special" or another sentiment, ribbon and pearl colored adhesive pearls (my favorite since they go with most everything)
What do you think? Just enter your comment in the comment section below for a chance to win the Garden of Blue peg stamp set. Today's winner is Dani C. and she will be receiving the Aster Wreath set! Congratulations Dani!
Until next week, Happy Stamping from Susan and rest of the gang at Rubber Stamp Tapestry !

It's the little touches that make each of these cards so special--the ferns around the edge of the card AND around the edges of the scalloped circle, the pearls, and the wonderful mix of colors. Of course, your gorgeous stamps are pretty important, too! Thanks for sharing your card ideas--I am always inspired.

I have that blue flower peg stamp and I think it is the prettiest one you make. It just has such a lush look to it. It can double as a poinsettia, too!! It looks nice with the fern stamp around the edges-great idea.

I've been thinking about using the chalk, but it seems a little counterintutitve to me with the stamps. I keep thinking that by putting the chalk on first, the stamps won't come out looking very good.
However, looking at the tutorial has given me confidence that chalking and stamping will work.
Thanks! I can't wait to try them together!

The garden of blus is a fantastic new set, I love the striped flowers and the cute butterfly. I love how you stamped the sentiments on the paper flower and the adhesive pearls. But my fav is the beautiful fern scrolls stamp. How delicate and detailed! I have to add this to my wish list! Another beautiful piece of work Susan and what a great use of the peg stamps. I love your cards and the fact we can refer to the tutorials so easily.
