This card is for Karen, one of our great friends at Marcos Papers (check out their blog) who has been ill lately but who is on the mend. Sometimes when words just aren't enough, a really simple sentiment gets the heart-felt thought across. Here's to wishing you well, Karen!

Using the Green cardstock, stamp with the following stamps and colors:
Tiny Curled Heart in Paprika
Tiny Stacked Heart in Topaz.
Mini Funky Leaves in Khaki ink (to flesh out the border)
Mini Maidenheart Fern in Encore Metallic Gold ink.
On a small piece of White cardstock, using the die cut as a pattern, stamp an oval half-wreath with the following stamps and inks:
Tiny Stacked Heart Flower in Grape and Paprika.
Cut out the stamped design, then edge in Umber ink. Set aside.
On another small piece of White cardstock, stamp "Dear Friend" and "you're in my thoughts" in Archival black ink.
Using the Oval die (1-1/4-inches x 1-3/8-inches), center your stamped impressions and cut out an oval medallion. Colorize with the Butterscotch and Moss chalks. Edge the scalloped oval with Bamboo ink.
Glue the oval on top of the half-wreath embellishment you made earlier. Set aside.
Run this piece through the die-cutting system twice, using the Classic Lace border die. Glue the resulting three pieces onto the unused piece of Light Green cardstock. Use the Butterscotch and Moss chalks to colorize, focusing on the raised areas of the "lace."
Glue the Oval Medallion to the center piece of the stamped area, tighten the embroidery thread behind the card-front and glue down. Glue all of this onto the Rust cardbase and you're finished.

Hi Susan -
I am sure that Karen will really appreciate this card. It is simply lovely. Your cards are always so sweet. I spoke with Greg at the Rhinebeck Scrap Stamp Art Tour Show on Sept. 19, and he said that Karen was doing very well. She was even going back to work! Thank you for sharing this with us.

As usual, my new favorite! I was wondering how long it takes to make these cards--I seem to be averaging an hour a card and mine are much more simple. They are definately worth it, though.
