With only a few weeks remaining before it's time to send out those Christmas cards, there's not that much time left to design a new card. This card lets the Cuttlebug (or other die cut machine) do a good deal of the work, with layers of textured paper creating much of the detail. The red highlights are served up on a crisp bed of greens, making this card simple enough to make at the last-minute.
Stamps -
Holly Border stamp set
"merry christmas" mini peg stamp
Papers -
Light Green half-sheet, folded
Brown card stock
Green card stock - about 4.5 x 3.25 inches
Light Red card stock
White card stock
Inks - Versacolor Bamboo, Burgundy, Green Tea, Pinecone, ; Archival Black
Spellbinders die cuts -
Nestabilities Curved Rectangles (S5-006)
Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large (S4-133)
Cuttlebug Embossing Envelope - Argyle
Chalk - Butterscotch
Embellishments -
Ribbon - Burgundy and Green
Brads - Copper
PopIt! Shapes (I used Square)
Instructions -
Run the Green card stock through the embossing envelope. Glue to the Brown card stock and trim away the excess, leaving a thin strip of brown behind the green. Glue this to the Light Green card base. Glue Green Ribbon to card base. Using a larger die, cut a curved rectangle label from the Light Red card stock and glue down to the card base, on top of the Green ribbon.
Cut a smaller curved rectangle in White card stock. Use the following inks and stamps to make a background:
Mini Thorn Berry in Sage around the border.
Tiny Prickly Pinecone in Pinecone ink.
Mini Holly Leaves in Green Tea.
Tiny 3 Berries in Burgundy ink.
Mini Thorn Berry in Green Tea.
Mini Dotted Berry Branch in Pinecone ink.
Edge curved rectangle with Sage ink and then again with Pinecone ink. Attach Burgundy ribbons with Copper Brads and glue to card base.
Merry Christmas Medallion -
On a White card stock scrap, stamp the "merry christmas" mini stamp in Archival Black ink. Line up in the smallest of the Spellbinders scalloped rectangles and run through die cut machine. Stamp using the following inks:
Tiny 3 Berries in Burgundy ink
Mini Thorn Berry in Bamboo
Mini Dotted Berry Branch in Pinecone ink, stamping a second impression without re-inking.
Next, chalk the outer edge of the medallion using Butterscotch chalk.
Edge with Pinecone ink, then glue to a scrap of Light Red card stock and trim away the excess.
Use PopIt! Shapes foam tape to attach the medallion to the card base and you're done!

I like using the textures. Your pegs are a perfect accent without being too busy. This combo makes for a quick, yet looks-like-I-spent-a-lot-of-time-on-it card. I also like the way your pegs have that realistic look to them.
