For so many of us, being creative gives us a sense of accomplishment and renewal. There's something so intoxicating about completing one creative project that we immediately want to spin off to something new. For example, once the Christmas cards are finished, the creative heart of the stamper soon turns to thoughts of love!
Supplies
Heart Deco stamp set
"I Love You" block stamp
Speckled Leaves border stamp
Green card stock half-sheet, folded
Green card stock
Rose card stock
White card stock
Burgundy designer paper (I used Basic Grey)
Inks - Versacolor Sage,Green Tea, Peony, Evergreen, Burgundy
Cuttlebug embossing envelopes - Swiss Dots and Textile Textures
Circle die cuts (I used Spellbinders Standard Circles - Large)
Label die cuts (I used Spellbinders Curved Rectangles)
Ribbons
Gold Paint Pen
Run the Green card stock piece through the die cut machine in the Swiss Dots embossing envelope.
Run the Rose card stock piece through in the Textile Textures embossing envelope.
Glue the red and green textured papers to the card base.
Glue the ribbons over the seams of the textured papers.
Use the Circle die cut to cut out a large round shape.
Use the Speckled Leaves border stamp and Sage ink to create a background for the stamping area.
Follow with Split Pea ink for a little more depth.
Lay out the main part of the wreath by stamping the heart stamps in the following inks:
(Since we've talked in so many tutorials about our stamping methods, we'll refer those new to the Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamping techniques to the following web page, Animated Demos, for a more detailed tutorial).
Tiny Solid Heart in Peony
Mini Deco Heart in Lilac
Mini Loop Heart in Burgundy.
Then stamp the Tiny Lush Foliage in Green Tea.
Follow with the Tiny Three Leaf Swirl in Evergreen.
Once you've finished stamping the circular wreath, use the Gold Paint Pen to edge the circle.
Next, you'll make the centerpiece label medallion.
Use Evergreen ink and the "I Love You" stamp on a piece of White card stock.
Center the stamp and run the White card stock through the Label die cut machine.
Using the Tiny Solid Heart stamp and Peony ink, make a background around the outer edges of the label
(with this stamp, I used only second impressions; I stamped on a scrap piece of paper and then stamped the second impression on the label).
Use the Tiny Three Leaf Swirl and Peony ink (first impressions included) and stamp over the Tiny Solid Heart background.
Edge the label with the Gold Paint Pen and glue to the Burgundy paper. Trim excess, leaving a pin stripe of burgundy.
Glue the medallion to the card base and you're finished!

I couldn't wait to see this week's card, so I logged on tonight instead of the usual Tueday morning! As most of you are probably moving on to Valentine's Day cards, I am not! Actually, I thought this would make a wonderful Christmas card for my mom...it's the perfect colors and I couldn't love her any more! Thanks for the idea. I also like the idea of using the tiny three leaf swirl to make the border around the "I love you."

Absolutely gorgeous card... and even though it's probably meant more for Valentine's Day, that stunning color combination is perfect for Christmas, too. I'd love to make this for my darling hubby as his card!
The best part is, I have everything on the supplies list EXCEPT the stamp set - so am keeping my fingers crossed! :-)

A beautiful card. I love how using the embossing easily adds depth to the card but lets you spend time on a smaller stamped area. The samples are always amazing and inspiring..

I wasn't sure what to do with these tiny stamps, but having found this site, I'll be back to learn more.

Love the card. Even though I've been reading the techniques for ages, I was a little surprised by the lack of detailed instructions. It's okay; I adjusted! Your gold edging on circles is too perfect--I thought it was another gold circle behind the circle panel. Awesome detailed work.
