To many of us, the fragrance of roses evokes instant memories of the women in our childhood, especially grandmothers. Captured in her special hand creme or l'eau de toilet, a grandmother is supposed to smell like roses when she hugs you. With its muted, vintage tones, this card brings back yesteryear.

INSTRUCTIONS -
Run the Green half-sheet through the embossing folder. Scuff the edges with Umber ink and set aside for now.
Use the VersaMarker to make random marks on the pre-measured White card stock piece. Colorize with the Yellow-Orange and Pink Chalks.
Then use the Checkered stamp and Soft Wheat ink to make a border around the outer edge. Use the Chalks again around the border.
In the center of the artist trading card, stamp the Rose Cluster in Old Rose ink three times.
Stamp the Leaf Sprig in Green Tea.
Then stamp the Berry in Burgundy.
Stamp the Squiggly Sprig in Bark.
Around the edges of the artist trading card, stamp the Squiggly Sprig in Burgundy.
Edge the outer borders with Umber ink first, then with Bark. Glue the artist trading card to the card base.
Then attach the ribbons and embroidery thread to the card base. Set aside for now.
On a separate White card stock scrap, stamp the Rose Cluster again in Bark, Orchid, and Old Rose.
Cut them out and edge each cut-out with the Umber ink. Then use a PopIt! to attach each of the flowers on top of the flowers you stamped earlier, in the center of the Artist Trading Card.
Make Medallions -
On the White card stock scrap, stamp the sentiment stamps. Then stamp several Flowers in Memories Soft Wheat ink.
Then line up the sentiments in the square punch and punch out.
Then glue each medallion to a slightly larger piece of Dark Brown paper. Finally, edge the squares with the Gold Paint Pen and attach them to the card, among the ribbons. Add an Adhesive Pearl to each medallion.
Add a touch of tiny-tipped glitter glue for some added sparkle and voila!- you're finished!

Looks like this is a "have to have" set! Love it!! When I go to a convention, the first place I always go is to find Renee and I can stand and watch her and be happy! She is awesome!

I just love this card. I am new to rubber stamping and bought my first set of peg stamps [yours] at a store in Salado, Tx. These stamps were flying out the door. I have made 2 cards, so fast and easy. Can't believe I did it myself. I think your tutorials are some of the best on line. Keep up the good work

On the 1st pic posted --I wasn't wild about the colors. But that last picture when you paired it with that dark green embossed card --wow how one color can make the rest shine through. It looked like something that may have been made in the early 1900's Very romantic card. JudyB

I always like your color combinations. The antique look on the edges is another favorite technique that I use a lot. I do like this rose stamp set... and just when I think I have enough stamps.....!

Cutting out the rose trios really makes this card a standout, pardon the pun! It is a simple card but those extra touches make all the difference. Thanks again for a wonderful lesson and more new ideas!
