Click on the link for the Pattern (<<click right there!) and print it out. It is in PDF format so you'll need Acrobat Reader if you don't already have it.
Once it's printed, cut around the solid lines (dotted lines indicate where you should fold) and keep the resulting cut-out as your pattern for future projects. Trace around the pattern onto the paper you are going to make your goodie bag out of. Then trim away the excess. Use the pattern to mark the folds and then prepare to stamp.
Here I have edged the Bag cut-out with Umber ink first so the image would show up for the camera.
Normally, the edging would be one of the last steps. It's really six of one, a half-dozen of the other...
Stamp the following:
Stamp the Mini Five Flowers in Olive ink.
Stamp the Itsy Accent Flower in Peony ink.
Stamp the Itsy Accent Flowers again, this time in Grape.
Repeat with Hyacinth ink.
Stamp the Mini Periwinkle Leaves in Sage ink.
Then use some of the Butterscotch Chalk to colorize the background.
Stamp the Tiny Pentas in Olive ink.
Stamp the Tiny Pentas again, this time in Lilac ink.
Stamp the Tiny Chain Fern in Sage ink.
Once the ink is dry, fold the box at the marks, glue it together, and then tie with the ribbon.
Somebody mentioned glue in last week's blog, asking what we recommend for layering embossed papers. I use Tombow MonoMulti glue for just about everything that has to do with paper. It has two handy applicators (I find that I use the fine tip much more than the broader tip) and it doesn't make the paper buckle when it dries. If you let the glue dry before adhering the two pieces of paper, it is restickable, which is great for envelope flaps and other things (it does tend to attract dust so make your dab tiny). In addition to the fine features I just mentioned, the MonoMulti glue is also pleasant to use because it smells like pineapples!
Take the White strip of paper and stamp the following:
Stamp the Mini Periwinkle Leaves in Narcissus ink. Scuff the edges of the paper with Olive ink. Repeat with a touch of Neptune ink. Then nip the two corners from one end of the strip and edge the resulting label with the Gold Paint Pen. Punch a hole in the end of the label and attach the Purple Eyelet. Then tie the ribbon through the label. Set aside for now.
On a White scrap of card stock, stamp the sentiment stamp in Hyacinth ink, creating a background pattern. Then stamp the sentiment again, this time in Grape ink. Trim away the excess paper. Then edge the resulting rectangle with the Gold Paint Pen. Glue this rectangle to the Purple scrap and trim away the excess. Then glue the medallion to the label you made earlier and insert the label through the ribbon of the box.
Here's the completed bag featured with the perfect gift to go inside: specialty tea bags!
Chocolates are great, too, as well as a small bag of homemade cookies...
Hmmm...Is it REALLY better to give than to receive? (Of course it is).
Until next week, Happy Stamping from Susan and rest of the gang at Rubber Stamp Tapestry!

I, too like to collage stamp on bags & boxes then fill with small gift for a friend. Yours is cheerfull & colorful. Pretty is as pretty does.

What a great idea! I love how you stamped this gift bag. I can hear people now talking about how pretty it is and would hate to open it because they would be afraid of ruining it. LOL Thanks for a chance to win, too. :D

I love this project and your tutorials are excellent. An extra picture would have helped me here... When you start stamping the bag with the mini flowers (photo 1-5flowersolive), an additional picture of the whole bag stamped would have given more of an idea of scale... how far apart the stamping should be.
