Eat, drink, and be merry is a wonderful theme for the kitchen and for life. Part of being merry is realizing the abundance of good in the little things, which brings us to a state of thankfulness. In the spirit of positive living, I want to always be thankful!
We have two projects today, using both fabric and paper. First, we'll make a pot holder and then we'll make a greeting card...
POT HOLDER
Stamps -
Plentiful Harvest stamp set
"be thankful" word stamp
Quilting supplies -
Two pieces of off-white muslin - 8 x 8 inches
One piece of batting
Gold and White thread (use gold thread on top and white thread for the bobbin)
Burgundy bias strip
Fabric Inks - "Poinsettia," "Fern," Dark Fern (mix Fern and Black) "Iris," "Gold," and Brown (mix Fern and Poinsettia to get Brown)
Other Supplies
White card stock - 6x6 inches
Instructions -
Take the paper square and place it in the center of the muslin square. Take the ink pad from the Light Fern mixing pot and scuff the outer edges of the paper to create a border. Then take the "be thankful" sentiment stamp and stamp a border.
Stamp the wreath and border -
In the center of the muslin, stamp the following:
Stamp the Apple in Poinsettia ink.
Stamp the Pear again, this time in Gold ink.
Stamp the Grape Cluster in Iris ink.
Stamp the Grape Leaf in Dark Fern ink.
Stamp the Fruit Leaf in Fern ink and then again in Gold ink.
Last, embellish the sentiment with the two Leaf stamps and Fern, Dark Fern, and Gold inks.
Quilt the square, add the burgundy border and you're done!
Fabric project INSPIRED BY...a card!
(Let's make it!)
Here are the inks and materials used for the card:
Papers -
White card stock - 6 x 6 inches
Burgundy card stock - 6.5 x 6.5 inches
Burgundy card stock card base - 6.5 x 6.5 inches when folded
Inks - Versacolor Burgundy, Khaki, Grape, Evergreen, Bamboo, and Encore Metallic Gold
Until next time, Happy Stamping from Susan and rest of the gang at Rubber Stamp Tapestry!

I love this set! Great variety in fruit and leaves. I would try some stamp 'kissing' to get different colors in the fruit. Also consider a second generation stamp for the grapes right next to the main stamp to give the look of depth for the cluster of grapes. It might be nice to add some white ink pen to the fruit for highlights like a light is shining on them.

Wow! I love this so much that I ordered all the inks and the stamp set to make both the card(s) and the potholder. I have never done fabric stamping but am so excited to give it a try! Creating with your products has given me the best hobby, now that I am retired! The only problem is I keep buying all your suggested products and will soon go broke!! :)
