Snow in central North Carolina is a little bit rare so when it does snow, it's a festive time for us. For all those snow-deprived winter days in between, however, there is a really great way to make our own snowy "reality." Use a glitter pen!
Stamps -
Winter Holiday stamp set
"find happiness" sentiment block stamp
Papers -
White card stock half-sheet, folded
White card stock scraps
Inks -
Versacolor Sage, Burgundy, Green Tea; Archival Black
Tools and Embellishments -
Cuttlebug embossing folder - "Textile Texture" (Available While Supplies Last!)
Oval die
Gelly Roll Stardust pen
Ribbon
Instructions -
Take the half-sheet and run it through the die cut machine. Then scuff the edges with the Sage ink. Tie the ribbon around the card front and set aside for now.
Take the sentiment stamp and a scrap of white card stock and stamp "find happiness" four times so that you form a square.
Then stamp the following:
Stamp the Poinsettia with the Burgundy ink.
Stamp the Snowman with Archival Black ink.
Stamp the Holly with Green Tea ink.
Stamp the Sprig with Archival Black ink.
Then use the Gelly Roll pen to make dot "snowflakes" around the wreath and into the script.
Once you have finished stamping, trim the excess from the stamped area, around the sentiments. Glue the square wreath to the card base and prepare to make the medallion.
Medallion -
Use the glitter pen on your snowmen and around the edge of the oval cut-out.
Take the Snowman stamp and, using Archival Black ink, make three different impressions. Run the image through the die cut machine with a small oval die. Then edge the oval with Sage ink. Use the Gelly Roll pen to color in the snowmen. Mount with PopIt! double-sided foam tape.

I was just thinking yesterday how much I like white on white when it is used just right. That is definitely what you showed! I have been loving the cutting out around the words that you have showed in recent samples. Very pretty!

Your card is so pretty. Like other comments, I love white on white. Those little snowmen just make me smile. I like you you cut them out with the oval and shaded the oval. You always come up with great samples and ideas. Happy Holidays and hope you get your wish for snow. Living in Northern California doesn't see much snow-once last year.

On a white on white winter theme I wouldn't have thought of using green but it looks fantastic. Keep up the great work and thanks for the inspiration.

I love white on white cards! Especially when they have a splash of winter in them! Love the snowmen and their surroundings. This is a great thank you note, or birthday card...any card during the winter...or anytime here in Florida when it is too hot, and we want to cool off!
Thanks for sharing such great tips!
Wishing you and yours a Blessed and Meaningful Christmas!
