Our Positioning Templates are so inexpensive and easy to use that, at the Orlando show (Stampfest), they were our most popular small item! Also... we accidentally left our Seahorse Garden stamp set (perfect for Florida!) at home when we made the trip-- so for those we disappointed, we have one sample using that set.

At the show there were some who wanted additional information about how to use the templates so here we go...
I designed the templates so that when you place them on a quarter sheet (4.25 x 5.5 inches), there is a perfect 1/4-inch border. You can then take a blending foam and some ink and make a border that will, in the end, make your card appear to have layers of paper!
First, place the template on the quarter sheet. Make a colored border around the outer edges of the template.
Then take a pen and, using the template as a guide, draw freeform lines and squiggles. Then use stamps from the set you are using for the card and decorate those lines. Then make the silhouette of the shape that is in the center of the template and finish by stamping.
In the sample above, I used the Dress template and on the edges, a lavender pen and light Versacolor inks (Sage and Hyacinth). Almost any pen will work for this, including colored markers and gel pens.
Here is the sample from the show, using Bella's Bouquet stamp set and the Oval positioning template. The sentiment shape is from the Arches positioning template.
I used the Heart positioning template in this sample, along with the diamond shape from the Small Shapes Template. The Small Shapes and Arches templates are wonderful to enclose sentiments.
I made this gift tag using the Small Circle template and the Triangle from the Arches template. I also used the Little Posy Basket stamp set.
This is a sample of the Pinafore template, which can be used on its own or with the Dress template. I used our Afternoon Tea stamp set.
Here is the completed Seahorse Garden card. In this sample I used the following templates: Oval, Rectangle, and Small Shapes (the diamond and heart are from the Small Shapes template). Below is the complete recipe for this card:

Happy Stamping from Susan and rest of the gang at Rubber Stamp Tapestry!

I saw you and your booth at the Orlando StampFest! It was so exciting, seeing you work in person...or is it "play" in person?
There were so many wonderful sets right there...and so many stamps that you could use with other things...I needed a small bird stamp for other scenes on cards...and they have so many. It was fabulous! I hope you will be back again!
