One cannot help have affection and love for the generosity of many cultures like Japanese. Giving generously, working towards excellence -- it's so ingrained. I, sadly, did not inherit it from my Japanese mom LOL. I leaned more to the carefree (but still giving) ways of my Portuguese dad! So admirable of a story you shared with us <3 thank you!

Thanks Ellen. Yes, we did have a lot of fun. I know that she came to study with me but I learned many things from Yumy as well. I can't wait to try a teapot that is decorated vertically instead of horizontally. Her teapot was definitely Japanese looking :)
