Today I had finished up my very first quilt that I embellished with Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps. A friend of mine was visiting and when I asked her opinion of what the quilt needed she suggested stamping on the black area. Here is the finished project.
Stamping is done on the quilt before the actual quilting takes place so that the stamps will be on a flat surface. I used acrylic paint (Reeve's, Speedball, etc.) are good choices. (always test first and follow manufacturer's instructions) I heat set my stamped images after they dried a little.
To make the images pop out on the black fabric, I added some white paint to each color to make it stand out a bit more.
Loved the finished effect of the stamps on a curvy border since they accent the curves within the quilt pattern. Stop by next time to see my newest project using RSTapestry stamps and tools!
Happy Stamping!

Great job Susan. As usual you are coming up with creative ways to use your stamps!
